TLM Institute of Health Sciences and Research (TIHSR) is one of the important centres of learning in Purulia, especially for Physiotherapy education, clinical training, research, and innovation. Established by The Leprosy Mission Trust India (TLMTI)—a 150-year-old health care organisation—TIHSR has experienced faculties who adopt innovative method of teaching to equip students for a range of healthcare environments.

As TIHSR shares the same campus with The Leprosy Mission hospital, easy access to the outpatient department and in-patient wards is beneficial for students who need exposure at the ground level.
