About The Institution

Mahesh Bhattacharyya Homoeopathic Medical College &Hospital has already completed a glorious journey of 50 years. It was established in 1967 with Dr. Netai Charan Chakraborty as the founder principal. I the year l994 Dept, of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal, fully absorbed this Institute with all its liabilities. Being the only medical college and hospital, it had been serving the suffering humanity of the entire Howrah district and also the other adjacent districts for a long time. The Institute is giving continues effort for upliftment of Homoeopathy. Many homoeopathic medical camps are being organised from this college for the propagation of Homoeopathy. In the year 1975 BHMS and in 2007 MD(Hom.) Course was introduced. The Institute has taken initiatve to start another PG Course in another discipline.

Courses And Admission

• UG- BHMS( Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery) - Selection is made through NEET ( National Elegibility cum Entrance Test) and an online counselling conducted by central selection committee (AYUSH) , Dept. of Health & Family Welfare, Swasthya Bhawan, Salt Lake, Sector V.
• PG - MD(Homoeopathy) in Case Taking and Repertory. Admission is made through AIAPGET (All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test) conducted by All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi and online counseling is conducted by The West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata.
